NACE SCHOOLS in Numbers:
FIELDS AND SWIMMING POOLS
Let them tell you about it…
“It is consistently rewarding to see Stonar’s riders develop their horsemanship skills and a positive partnership with their horses. Whether they are recreational or competitive riders, our pupils are fortunate to receive a unique riding experience to complement their academic programmes.”
“Some classmates have different abilities, or play sport or music professionally, and despite this, classes and exams are adapted to their needs without this being a problem. This shows us that they want to get the very best from all of us.”
NACE Schools Group is recognised leader in international education with a presence in 4 countries, but we understand that the focus of a truly successful international school should incorporate more than just academic achievement. Pupils who attend our school are given opportunities to develop personally and academically through a variety of co-curricular activities, all the while having fun and socialising with their peers. For students at a NACE private school, sports, music and the arts are not considered as the traditional “optional” extra subjects, but form an integral part of the curriculum.
Wide variety of sporting activities
NACE Schools is proud of the wide variety of sporting activities on offer at each and every private school, sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, and tennis; international options like cricket, rugby and netball; as well as other popular options such as golf, sailing and horseriding. Activities at our schools do vary slightly so to see the specific sporting activities available at your centre of choice, visit the individual school’s page.
At a NACE private school, sports facilities are second to none. We boast the highest quality facilities, purpose built in order to help our students to develop their skills, increase their confidence levels and participate in a variety of activities. Our private school sports facilities include indoor swimming pools, multi-use gymnasiums, athletics tracks and fields, tennis, badminton and basketball courts, football and rugby pitches as well as the facilities for more specialist activities. For example, our independent school in the UK, Stonar, offers pupils the chance to develop their riding ability with an outstanding equestrian centre approved by the British Horse Society.
We understand that sporting activity helps children develop values such as self-improvement, determination and perseverance and recognise the value of team spirit and cooperation that comes from forming part of a team. As such, as well as the high-spirited competition encouraged within the school, members of our private school sports teams take part in local leagues in activities such as football, basketball and volleyball. In line with the international environment offered and promoted at each NACE private school, sports teams are also offered the chance to participate in the NACE Olympics. This high-spirited but friendly competition brings together students of different languages, cultures and nationalities to practice their skills in their combined goal to emerge as the winning school.
At each NACE private school, sports are a key part of the curriculum. We know that as well as aligning with our belief in a healthy, active lifestyle, participation in sporting activities promotes the global core values which make NACE Schools unique. Our focus is on the promotion of self-discipline, exertion and self-improvement while the chance to form part of a team increases students’ sense of responsibility for themselves and others and encourages an important sense of belonging to the community. Through active participation, students are given the tools they need to succeed at the next stage of their academic or professional life.
